During my last trip down to the World I had the chance to stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort as well as the Walt Disney World Dolphin (ready my review). Our first stay was at the Hilton Bonnet Creek during the marathon weekend, my first stay at the resort. I initially didn’t have much interest in staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek honestly because I didn’t really know much about it but I ended up really enjoying my stay. [click to continue…]
I just returned from a long weekend trip down to Disney World for the Marathon weekend to spectate, not run thankfully. While I was down there I split my stay between the Hilton Bonnet Creek and Walt Disney World Dolphin so I could experience both resorts and review them for you. I also like to stay at different resorts during trips because I find it fun to experience new hotels, locations and amenities.
The Swan and Dolphin are interesting resorts – you use the official Disney transportation, get access to Extra Magic Hours but don’t get access to Magical Express and you can’t use Magic Bands at the resort. It’s an odd in-between of an offsite resort and an official resort where you get all of the perks. [click to continue…]
As I’m writing up this post it’s a beautiful 20 degrees outside (although sunny). Having come from warm and beatufiful central Florida it’s quite a shock to the system going back to weather 50 degrees colder. I just returned from a great trip down to the ‘World to watch my brother run the Disney 10k as part of the Marathon Weekend.
I wanted to share some thoughts, notes and observations from my trip along with some of the pictures I took while there. Overall it was an amazing trip as always, all of the parks are looking good as usual but a lot of construction which I like to see. That means we’ll be seeing some new things coming soon which I’m very excited about. [click to continue…]
The Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista is located just across the street from the Downtown Disney entrance to Walt Disney World. The main gates are less than a mile away from the resort making it a great choice if you’re looking a close but offsite hotel to stay at.
I enjoyed my long weekend stay here during the Walt Disney World marathon weekend, it’s proximity to the property made getting to/from the race and events much easier. I didn’t actually pick this resort from the beginning of my planning(more on that later) but was happy that I ended up staying here.
Let’s take a look at a full review of the resort and all of the amenities it has to offer! [click to continue…]
Barclaycard rolled out a new version of the card formerly know as the Barclaycard Arrival. The new Arrival+ card retains most of the benefits of the old card but introduces a few new features to make it even better of a travel card. As I’ve written in the past the Barclaycard Arrival is one of my favorite cash back travel cards because it earns 2.2% cash back on all purchases, that cash back can then be spent to redeem for travel expenses.
