I usually only get the mail a few times a week because 99.9999% of all mail in my mailbox is junk – ads, menus, credit card offers, you know – run of the mill junk. Yesterday was my lucky day when I checked the mail I found a nice big envelope from Disney Destinations which I knew had the chance to be a pin code.
Disney Destinations is the subsidiary company that sends out most of the marketing material to consumers so if you have mail from them it’s probably good news. Earlier in the month I received a flyer from them but it was just promoting the publicly available free dining offer for the fall.
If you’re not receiving Disney pin code offers or any special mail from Disney, be sure to check out my post on how to get a Disney Pin Code.
The pin code offer I received is for:
- Disney Value Resorts: $118/night for most Sunday – Thursday nights 10/1 to 10/9 and 10/13 to 10/31
- Disney Moderate Resorts: $181/night for most Sunday – Thursday nights from 10/1 to 10/9 and 10/13 to 10/31
- Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge: $341/night for most Sunday – Thursday nights from 10/1 to 10/9 and 10/13 to 10/18
Disney uses these pin code offers to help fill rooms when there will be excess capacity. Based on these date I’m guessing that their bookings for October are looking fairly light, especially at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge.
What’s interesting about this deal is that it’s a worse offer than the current 30% off fall offer that is publicly available. Possibly they think that people will get this offer and think they’re getting a good deal? Usually the pin code offers are fairly good but this one appears to be a stinker.
So while I was excited to get the pin code offer which is always good the actual offer inside is nothing to write home about. If I get any other offers in the mail I’ll be sure to share!
Have you gotten a pin code offer?
