As I’m writing up this post it’s a beautiful 20 degrees outside (although sunny). Having come from warm and beatufiful central Florida it’s quite a shock to the system going back to weather 50 degrees colder. I just returned from a great trip down to the ‘World to watch my brother run the Disney 10k as part of the Marathon Weekend.
I wanted to share some thoughts, notes and observations from my trip along with some of the pictures I took while there. Overall it was an amazing trip as always, all of the parks are looking good as usual but a lot of construction which I like to see. Disney has released an extension to an interesting discount offer for 2015 specifically for families of three. With this offer they are targeting new families with their first child to encourage them to take a trip with their first born to Disney World. Interesting angle they’re taking with this discount, wonder if it will have much of an impact on families of three taking trips.

I’m currently in the process of booking my trip for early January 2015 for a quick weekend trip with my family to watch my brother run in the 10k race as part of the marathon weekend. I normally would have booked this trip much earlier but things have been busy (and a little procrastination) so just getting around to getting everything finalized now. With christmas coming up I was looking to make this trip as frugal as possible which meant minimizing as many costs as I can.

Disney World can be one of the best places to celebrate the Christmas season – they don’t miss a beat when it comes to celebrating Christmas in every corner of the parks and resorts. One of the best seasonal events – in my opinion the very best is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party which is held at the Magic Kingdom on certain dates in November and December.

Two offers were announced, one is a room only discount which is the pretty standard promotion they run but the other is play,stay and dine offer which is a little more interesting and could save you some more money.
