Universal Studios has been on quite the roll the past few years with their new addition of the Harry Potter lands. They have been successfully luring guests away from Disney property to take the trip up I-4 to say hi to Harry Potter and friends. Universal Studios has recently released a great new ticket deal: buy 2 days, get a 3rd day for free! This deal is probably to help cover up the news that they raised ticket prices of February 10th.
Normally a 3-day park ticket costs $179.99/$169.99 (adults/children) , with this deal you will pay the price for a 2-day ticket, $169.99/$159.99 but get three days for a total saving of $10.
These tickets are available now for purchase, they must be used on or before May, 31st, 2016 which is the expiration date. The ticket expires 14 days after first use so you do have some flexibility to spread your days out if you wish.
Having this deal negates the need to have a park-to-park ticket. You could spend one day at Universal Studios, one day at Islands of Adventure then choose your favorite park for your third day. That’s what I did on my most recent trip last year; I opted to visit Universal Studios for my second day to take in all of the new Harry Potter London area (which was amazing by the way!).
If you are planning on visiting Disney this spring you may want to take advantage of this offer to visit Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure which are two amazing theme parks.
Do you know if there is a cheaper way to travel to Universal Studios from a Disney Resort?
I have gotten to Universal Studios a few different ways in the past. I’ve used taxis, Uber is now an option, you can call a car service like Mears or rent a car for the day to drive up.
